This is Funny

This is a skit on things christian girls say, its funny ( not offensive either)

More than words....

Check out these songs

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. "

-1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

I believe everyone is familiar with this verse, if you've been to a wedding or even seen the movie wedding crashers I'm sure at some point you've heard this. And I think that the songs above echo what that verse is saying, love really isn't a phrase or feeling to be used lightly. It seems to me that its more of an action and commitment. Everything up there sounds beautiful when read, but really think about what it is asking of you. To be patient with someone, to be kind possibly when the other person (s)  aren't being kind to you, to not get angered quickly even in a situation where emotions and voices are high, to keep no records of wrong ..I personally wrestle with much of what is listed. Its hard not hold things against people sometimes, even after they apologize, and its hard not to get angry with difficult people. I am curious to hear any thoughts on this (love), especially on the week of Valentine's Day where its hard to flip a coin without seeing the words I love you. I definitely think it can cause you to really evaluate your "love" for some things. The challenging aspect of this to me is that it doesn't specify that you can pick certain things about love within this passage given your situation...It says love is ..... period, point blank..not love can't be this today but tomorrow its a different story.

May the Force Be With You.....

It's interesting the things you can learn from a child. This short and popular commercial echoes a lot of important themes and lessons that I think many people can take to heart. It's not a coincidence that Jesus said "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." ( Matthew 18:3). What is it that is special about children? Really think about that, and what are the characteristics that a child possesses that you think we should? There is also the verse that says "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me." (1 Corinthians 13:11) It seems a bit confusing doesn't it, but I think there is a real difference between being childish and childlike. What are your thoughts after watching this and comparing the verses?
